Green Deal: Dealing with Plastic Waste Management for Better Circular Economy

November 25 – The European Union in the Philippines, in partnership with the ECCP – Philippine Earth Justice Center, Inc., European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, STEP PHILIPPINES, and the University of the Cordilleras, held a webinar titled “Green Deal: Dealing with Plastic Waste Management for Better Circular Economy”.

This webinar covered the state of climate change and Circular Economy in the country a year after the pandemic and highlight the EU’s best practices to mitigate plastic pollution protect the environment.

The European Union has been implementing its circular economy action plan, with actions covering the full product circle, from product design to the end of life. This includes new, ambitious targets on waste prevention, management, and recycling,” EU Ambassador Luc Véron.
Thank you to the more than 200 members of the academe, NGOs, LGUs, and business groups who joined us in a fruitful discussion on the current state and future of plastic waste management, plus our shared responsibility in climate change mitigation and achieving a better circular economy for the country.
